Head of Automation

Take a central role in the development of EcoFishCircle and the future systems for land-based aquaculture!

As Head of Automation, you will have overall responsibility for leading and further developing the company's control system "EFC Control". The role ranges from strategic development to practical implementation — you build a bridge between technology, biology, and operations.

We are a small team, so we need someone who is hands on and can handle much of the development themselves.

Primary Responsibilities

• Shape and lead the company's IT and automation strategy
• Oversee architecture and integration between process control, sensors, SCADA/PLC systems, and digital operational platforms
• Drive data collection, analysis, and decision support development
• Ensure scalable, robust solutions supporting company growth and international ambitions
• Participate in strategic work for continuous company improvement
• Lead complex automation projects with customers, coordinating technical drawers, project managers, and site managers
• Oversee system commissioning locally for projects in delivery phase
• Develop control systems with the technology team
• Manage customer interface and analysis/reporting platform

Required Qualifications

• Higher education in IT, automation, cybernetics, or equivalent
• 5+ years developing and operating industrial automation, IoT, SCADA, process control, and data systems in production environments
• Experience handling large data volumes and various technologies for storage, transformation, analysis, and visualization
• Understanding of system architecture, integrations, and data security
• Technology project leadership experience — preferably in startups or growth companies
• Interest in sustainability, industrial innovation, and blue-green technology
